CILICIA. Mallos. Tiribazos, satrap of Lydia, 388-380 BC. Stater (Silver, 21 mm, 7.79 g, 11 h), a contemporary plated imitation. Head of Herakles to right, lion skin tied around beck. Rev. Bearded male head (of Tiribazos?) to right, wearing satrapal headdress. Cf. SNG Levante 153 (for prototype). Harshly cleaned and with a test cut and breaks in plating on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
